Project overview
Master your choir part. Upload any song, extract vocal parts, learn solfa notation, view chords and notes, and test your knowledge — all in one platform.
MusicHelper is built for choristers and musically inclined people who learn by ear and want to go further than that. Upload a recording and the platform separates the vocal parts so you can isolate the line you actually sing. Solfa notation, chords and notes are shown alongside the audio, and a practice mode tests what you have retained rather than leaving you to guess.
Challenges & Solutions
Challenge
Choristers learn their part by ear from a full recording, where every other voice is competing with the one they need. Rehearsal time gets spent picking a line out of a mix rather than learning it.
Solution
The platform separates the vocal parts of an uploaded track so a singer can isolate and loop the line they are responsible for, on their own, between rehearsals.
Challenge
Solfa notation, chords and written notes usually live in three different places — a hymnal, a chord chart and whatever the choirmaster wrote on the day.
Solution
All three are presented against the same track in one view, so a singer reads the notation while hearing the part it describes instead of reconciling them afterwards.
